  18. <p>     "A real labor pain is when you compare your paycheck to a
  19. man's." So quips comic Jenny Jones, whose own fortunes are
  20. soaring. A former backup singer for Wayne Newton, Jones is
  21. touring the nation with a hit show that permits no men in the
  22. audience and no male waiters, bartenders or stage crew in the
  23. room. "It becomes like a group-therapy session," she says.
  24. "Women say the most outrageous things. But if there is one guy
  25. in there it won't happen." Among her topics: job equality, PMS,
  26. stretch marks and relationships. But some folks aren't
  27. laughing. There were complaints of sex discrimination in Boston
  28. and Seattle, and a Los Angeles agency is refusing to sell
  29. tickets to an upcoming appearance. Says Jones: "If they try to
  30. shut me down, I'll do the show in the ladies' room."
